Three Exclusive features – (no other units on the market with these features).

1. Stable power supply with advanced voltage regulation.

Precise 8.3 volts for 40 + hours on 8 AA batteries. All other equipment without this feature will record apparently higher amplitude waves with fresh batteries and within 20 – 30 minutes the amplitude appears to decrease. Therefore, EEGs are not comparable over time due to battery life decline.

Brainwave I is the only machine on the market with this feature. You can be sure your measurements are accurately comparable over time – hour to years, the measurement accuracy will be the same.

2. Built in electronic ohmmeter for continual left right impedance monitoring.

Accurate from 1 to 20 ohms to measure the electrical resistance on the left and right brain. Continual measurement during the EEG – especially during physical activity where the electrodes may become loose. The display on the computer screen verifies the accuracy of the left-right connection.

With all other equipment a $ 500 ohmmeter must be used with the attendant confusion and distraction of periodically holding the electrodes of the ohmmeter to the connection.

Experienced users of EEG equipment are amazed at the ease of use this feature gives them.

2 – 6 ohm resistance within 1 – 2 ohm left-right balance is easy to achieve with the built in amplifier.

Other e equipment is normally happy with 15 – 20 ohm resistance. The difference is in the ability to discriminate in greater detail the thought processes – not just the dominant wave. Brainwave I is by far the most accurate and presents the most detailed results.

The photo below shows the area of the circuit board allocated to this function. The 24-pin device in the center splits into the left and right functions to ensure an accurate balance measurement.

Imagine the result if one were training with biofeedback to connect a left dominant brain and the problem was a faulty connection, not a brain imbalance. Oops, accident in the brain surgery world, the left-brain dominance is now much, much more so.

3. 25,000 volts optical insulation.

The highest rating on other equipment is 5,000 volts. Lighting can and does strike, and when it hits a building, unprotected computers no longer work – they are smoking.

Should this happen while the EEG electrodes are attached to a brain, an optical insulator is required to stop the flow of electricity. As there are lighting bolts approaching 15,000 volts, the Brainwave I is built to 25,000. Five times the protection of any other equipment.

The long white tube on the left side of the circuit board is the optical insulator. (The little animals are the prehistoric occupants of the colorful jungle as they find a Brainwave I and wonder what it is and from where it came?)

Additional Features

Connection time – 2 minutes or less.

Four simple clips attach to the electrodes placed behind each ear, on the forehead and on the cheek. Hairstyles and markup remain intact for use in corporate environments.

Portable, can be used with any laptop computer. (serial connection).

Biofeedback – sound, up to 3 frequency ranges can be set with various sounds, pitches and volume selectable for the desired results.

Biofeedback – visual, various displays are shown in real time so the individual can see precisely what frequencies and amplitude the brain is using on the left-right and the cooperation (or lack of) between the left and right.

Children will play these games for hours, becoming more balanced and more intelligent.
